You can make a difference for our friends and neighbors who need to eat. Volunteer to serve a meal or provide baked goods for SilverSunday, our flagship meal service program that bridges gaps and builds a unified community.
What started in 2011 as a nomadic group of volunteers handing out bottles of cold water on hot days and hot coffee on cold days transformed into SilverSundays. In the summer of 2012, the program expanded to distribute sack lunch meals along with coffee/water service. More than 8,000 lunches were provided during the early days program. In the fall of 2014, the program transitioned from sack lunches to hot meals. The Silverbackks remain committed to serving anyone in need of a meal.
